Litago posters for Norways national day

Wow, so long since theres been a post in here! Any way here is some new stuff I've been working with.

In combination with the Norwegian national day, 17 May, me and Anna created together with Animasjonsdepartementet 2 awesome posters for Norway's biggest milk brand, Tine. The photographer was Axel Bauer. Everything is made in camera and with very minimal post editing.

They have received great response from all over. Check out how they look in the streets. Really popping out! We and the rest are very satisfied with the result!

Here is some pictures from the making!

The Crow Who Wore A Suit And Worked In An Office - online? wat

I was supposed to put it up here for some time ago but so much things have been going on lately.
This is the short film I made in the spring semester when I attended an exchange programme to Glamorgan University in Cardiff, Wales, 2011!
Due to time limitations I didnt get to do everything I wanted but thats how it goes with ambitious thinking at times.
If you have not seen it then take a look, its only gonna take 3:43 out of your life!

Feeling misplaced and trapped in an environment where he doesn't belong, he dreams of doing what he always wanted. This is the story of the crow who wore a suit and worked in an office.

Music done by Phil Brookes. The same guy who made the music for "But Milk Is Important"

Btw I am going to Annecy in June. Me and Anna where so lucky that we got our film in the Graduation competition programme! This is super cool and we're really looking forward to get down there, meet people and check out other great films!

Showreel and award!

yo!
Its been a good while since I wrote anything here on my personal blog. Most of the updates have been at the production blog for our Bachelor film.
But yes, we finished the film last year and it has got the chance to get screened at some festivals already! :)
We won our 1st award at the Fredrikstad Animation Festival in the category "Best Nordic- Baltic Student Film"!! That was a huge motivational boost for us as we had been working day and night for over a year.

And btw.
Here is my showreel I made in late 2012! Take a looksy! I will also try to update this site more often!

Bachelor Project: But Milk Is Important

Its been a while since the last post here on my blog!
But Milk Is Important is the title of the project Im working on now. Im co-working with my classmate, Anna Mantzaris!
As usual the projects tends to get more ambitious which means we're working.. allot! But its fun! And things have started to shape up and the main character is off to Sweden now to get a sweater! Anna's sister is good with knitting so she will make him a tiny "marius sweater" inspired  sweater!

I will allso offcourse post stuff here on my blog aswell :)

But check out our workblog HERE!

One part of removing rigg is DONE!

as the title says! yeah!

It was a real pain and it doesnt look super perfect but I think Im satisfied!

Now more rigg remove...

Still editing...

had a break after i came home and gotta say I havnt been looking forward to the next stuff im gonna work on...
Since I managed to mess up my reference video for the rig removal mask video it looks like I gotta manually edit every frame and mix pictures together to hide the rig. Its really hard since the camera is moving and the perspective on the background is constantly changing.
This is kinda sad because it wont look perfect but it seems like its the only way to do it :(
If someone know a magic trick to remove a rig when you dont have the background information please comment ;P

Cheers
Eirik

Miniature with building and massive backdrop sky!

For some shots I needed a miniature version of the crow and here he's looking up on one of the city's buildings.
I allso have a quite big backdrop, a painted canvas with sky, 2m x 1,4m (i think). Unfortunately its actually not big enough for my last set but I guess I just gotta scale things down.. :(

btw! Soon only have the last location to shoot!

Basic aluminium wire with heatshrink tube on to protect the wire.

K/N's on washer for using replaceable arms. Attached on the armature below the neck

Body shaped out of matrass foam and added K/Ns on armature.

Hand sewed trousers!

Miniature and Crow posing. Arms have a layer of blu-tack and then coated with dark pigmented latex.

Painted the head black before starting to glue tiny bits of feather from the back of the head and up.

More to come! Starting on my sets this week and dont really have much time... Hope it doesnt get too bad... :|
